Whale Ivory Bell-shaped Pickwick, American, Mid-19th Century
InformationWhale ivory pickwick turned in the shape of a bell, American, mid-19th century. The rounded top of the bell is turned and scribed with red polychrome inlay and when pulled from the base has a pointed steel rod for raising the wick. The base of the bell is finely shaped and near the base is a scribed band with a red sealing wax inlay. (SC1349)
Condition: The pickwick is in excellent condition and has a mellow age patina.
