InformationWhale bone and whale ivory cane with capstan shaped grip and carved whale bone shaft, circa mid-19th century. The capstan grip has eleven carved panels around the perimeter. At the base of the grip is a raised rope carved band above a narrow eight sided section. There is a silver spacer above a long whale bone shaft. The shaft is carved in five sections, each section being separated by a Turk's-head. The shaft terminates with a long brass ferrule. (WS0263) Coindition: Excellent. Dimension: Length 35 1.2 inches.
