InformationSixth plate daguerreotype which features a seated well-dressed gentleman with long sideburns holding a telescope in one hand. The subject’s face has his cheeks subtly hand colored rose colored and he has a wearing a gilded small cross above his waist. The dag retains its leather case with brass matt and velvet inlay. (PH0477) Condition: Beside some scattered spotting, the daguerreotype is in excellent condition. The dag retains its original leather case and mat. Dimensions of Case: Height 3 3/4, Width 3 1/4 Inches
