InformationRare silver plated rigged model of the Whale Ship "Charles W. Morgan" by Pairpoint Manufacturing, New Bedford, MA, circa 1910. The model is fully rig with silver sails. Stamped on the bottom of the hull near the center of the skeg is "PAIRPOINT". The model is made in three sections: the ship, the water and a wooden base with silver plated feet. The vessel is carrying several whaleboats and is a fine miniature of the real ship. (SM-0733)
Note 1: The actual "Charles W. Morgan was restored and is docked at Mystic Seaport. After a full restoration, she went on a cruise in the summer of 2014.
Note 2: The model was deaccessioned from The New Bedford Whaling Museum and has the red inventory number 77.6.1 painted on the model and on both base sections.
Dimensions: Height 14.75", Length 16" inches.
Condition: The model is in excellent condition and has typical tarnish to the silver surface.
