Extremely fine and delicate fluted decorated whale ivory pie crimper, American, circa 1850. The top of the handle has a fancy stepped carved decoration above an oval shaped fluted section above a similar decoration at the top which terminates as the arms to support the whale ivory wheel. The wheel is beautifully carved with a delicate open pattern. (Sc-1304)
Condition: The pin holding the wheel has been replaced. The crimper and wheel are in outstanding condition and have a wonderful age patina.
