InformationIvory chess set with standard form pieces, English or Continental, circa 1895. The pieces are beautifully fashioned and finished. Each piece has a highly polished surface. The white pieces have a natural ivory surface and the red pieces have been stained red with vegetable dye. The set retains its original mahogany box. (MI-559) Condition: Excellent. Dimensions: Height of king 3 1/4 inches; Height of pon 1 1/4 inches.
