InformationWhale Ivory and Whalebone cane with a whale ivory capstan shaped grip. The grip is fiely molded at the top then tapers with a eight-sided section and then widens in to a squarhe block as an ebony diamond on each surface with a smaller silver inlay inside. Each corner of each square has an inlaid baleen small circular doe block. Tt. The remainder of the shaft is from a single tapered section or whalebone. The top section of the shaft has an open four sided cage with a rope turned dowel like insert ending with a smaller dot inlaid square. The next section is fluted then reeded and then rope carved. These sections are divided by raised bands that have multiple score lines around the perimeters. The last section is smooth. (WS0274) Condition:There are a few typical age cracks in the ivory grip, otherwise excellent. Dimension: Length36 3/4 Inches
