Information

Bone steel and brass sailors knife American circa 1860. The grip has a decoratively shaped two-part bone plates one on each side of the knife and it is held together with two metal pins. Applied to the center of the grip on each side is a carved cartouche. Below the grip/ is a brass finely shaped guard above the tapered dagger style steel blade. (SC1287)
Condition: The knife has a mellow age patina and is good condition except one side of the grip has an old crack or brake in the bottom corner near the guard.
