Whale ivory Scrimshaw Pick Wick in the Form of a Bell, American Mid-19th Century. The bell handle is finely turned and lefts from the base exposing the metal pick. The base is tuned with bands on the top and base. The entire pick wick was well polished. On the bottom you can see the dentine from the center of the tooth from which it was turned. (SC1197)
Condition: The pickwick is in excellent condtion and has a mellow patina.
