InformationBrass bound China trade camphor wood chest, probably made for the American or English market, circa 1860. All of the sides and top are made from single width wide boards. The front panels are highly figured wood. All of the edges are wrapped with curved brass and have applied curved brass corner plates applied to the top and side corners. The chest retains its original brass top mounted name plate, front and side bail handles and lock escutcheon. (F-527) Condition: The chest has a few repairs along the bottom in the back and some minor typical scattered scuffing. Dimensions: Height 15 3/4 inches; Length 33 3/4 inches; Width 17 inches
