InformationExtremely fine Shadow Box Model, titled and signed on the reverse 'Yacht Puritan off Beaver Trail, entrance to Newport Harbor, W.H. Green, Newport, R.I.', 17 3/8 x 28 inches. The shadow box retains its original fancy Victorian frame 28 x 36 inches. NOTE: The Puritan was the successful America Cup defender in 1885. She was built in Boston by George Lawley & Son, and was designed by Edward Burgess. Photographs by Stebbins document the Puritan on the very tack and placement as depicted in this shadow box model.
