"Pond Fishing Cape Cod" signed CD Cahoon
InformationOil on canvas titled "Pond Fishing Cape Cod" and signed lower left "CD Cahoon", circa 1920. The painting depicts a standing fisherman clothed in period fishing wear including yellow slicker and wadding boots. His rod is bent over and he has hooked a fish who is creating a ripple in the water. A younger man is leaned over in the dory and is grabbing a net to assist in bringing in the fish. There are some lily pads in the foreground and greenery on the opposite side of the pond. Genre scenes like this by CD Cahoon are quite rare. (PA1023)

Condition: The painting is in excellent condition. It was probably cleaned in the last 10 years. It retains its original gold leaf frame.
