Rare cast iron door stop in in the form of an early baseball player in a bating pose. He is wearing a red and blue uniform. He has a white painted face and hands, and he has red painted checks. The door stop has a somewhat primitive rendering and is a very rare example of a American cast iron doorstop. (FA1150)
Condition: The door stop is in excellent and has retained all of its original paint and has a rich patina.
