Carved and painted half model of a racing yacht, American, circa 1920. The model has a beautiful shape and represents a racing yacht with extreme overhang and deep keel. Above the waterline, the model has a tiger grain mahogany surface and below the waterline the hull is painted green as is the applied rudder. The keel has an old gold leaf surface and the bottom of the keel is painted gray simulating lead. The model is mounted on a white painted backboard with a molded edge. (SM-656)
Condition: The green and gray paint are not original. The white painted backboard has a crackled surface with a few minor losses. The model is in generally excellent condition.
