Chelsea 8 1/2 inch ship's bell clock, circa 1920. The clock has an engraved silver dial with engraved and wax arabec numerals. The face is engraved: "CHELSEA CLOCK CO. BOSTON, U.S.A.", and is also engraved: "SHIP'S BELL". The dial is also signed by the retailer "Kelvin & White o. Whits Co., Boston. Below the numeral "12" is a slow/fast adjustment. The clock retains its original, moon shaped hands. The clock retains its original, Chelsea time and strike, eight day movement which is numbered: "1139566". The clock retains its original, yellw brass case with a shield shaped hinge with swing bezel. The back of the case is signed: "CHELSEA CLOCK CO." and bears the same serial number as the movement. Condition: The movement has been recently overhauled and is in excellent running order. The case has been polished.
