Carved and painted indoor two-sided trade sign featuring a percussion style double barrel side by side shot gun American circa 1910. The gun was carved with great skill and looks real except for its larger-than-life size. The barrels are painted black, and the stock is natural wood. In gold upper case lettering the word "REMINGTON" is hand painted in gold with red shadowed lettering. The word "GUN'S" is painted in the same manor on the stock. The pair of triggers, trigger guards hammers and hammer plates are black painted carved wood. The sign retains its original hangers. (FA1140)
Condition: Since the gun hung indoors and had no weather exposure, it is in extra fine condition with no paint loss with an even gentle craquelure surface.
Provenance: The trade sign was in an old Ohio collection for many years.
