Presentation Silver Yacht timer or stopwatch used for yacht race starts. The dial is signed "TIFFANY and Co."THE PAGET Reg No. 4330" circa 1927. The hand painted dial has black Arabic numerals and the 60 is painted red. Around the circumference of the dial are 60 dots indicating seconds. Below the numeral 60 is a sub dial indicating minutes from 5 and counting down to 1 in red. The top of the watch has a knurled winding crown with movable chain ring. At the top of the crown is a start stop button. Inside the case back is the text "Weil & Co., Switzerland" and there are 3 hallmarks and below the serial number 201988. The movement is signed WEILL & CO. Switzerland. The watch comes with its original mahogany case which hinges up allowing one access to the watch and the green felted recessed storage space. The top of the case has a glazed circle which allows one to view the dial while the case is closed.
Condition: The watch has been recently overhauled and is working accurately. The watch and case are in fine condition.

The watch is accompanied with a round silver tray with an inscription “THE CORINTHIAN YACHT CLUB of PHILADELPHIA, OCEAN RACE from CAPE MAY JUNE 25, 1927”. The reverse of the tray is engraved "JE Caldwell, Sterling 804" (CL0609)

Note: It was likely that this watch was used for the start of the race held by the Corinthian Yacht Club in Philadelphia.
